Day one: Chowrasta and the town
Begin around Chowrasta and the surrounding walking streets. Visit Observatory Hill if the path suits your group, and leave time for tea and a meal rather than moving between every stop by car.
Keep the first day light if you have just arrived from NJP or Bagdogra. Traffic, luggage and check-in can take up more of the day than expected.
Day two: Tiger Hill, Ghoom and Batasia

For forest surroundings, consider Lepchajagat or an arranged Chatakpur stay. For tea-country villages, consider Takdah and Tinchuley. Choose one direction and keep enough daylight for the return.
If this is also your departure day, select stops along your transfer route. A long detour can leave little time for a station or airport connection.
